The bedrock sits right under the soil, so the drainage is awful. That puddle in the lower left? Yesterday’s rain just refused to leave.
Finally — the chipping hammer! My wife came alive, happily smashing the rocks to pieces. 😂
Breaking and hauling away rocks, again and again. It’s still far from finished, but since it’s already planting season for summer vegetables, I think I’ll pause the rock removal for now. Mixed in a bit of cow manure compost and planted a few things, just to see how they do.
